The Nikko Dawn is a study in restraint and precision — a fully hand-polished, all-black classic fly reel born from the workshops of Yokohama. Every component is machined, assembled, and finished by hand, making each reel a singular object as much as it is a tool.
Craftsmanship & Materials
- All-metal body crafted from 6061 aluminum alloy, 300-series stainless steel, and brass
- Black full backing plate available in two finishes: Classical Lathe Lines (hand-ground, vinyl record texture) or Mirror (additional polishing for a smooth, reflective surface)
- Black frame, black spool, and black foot — gold foot option also available
- S-Handle knob: hand-turned black/gold ebonite rod with ebonite-wrapped stainless steel balance ball
- Classic Click & Pawl drag — producing a delicate, elegant ticking sound on the run
- All components hand-polished and individually assembled
