Field Notes created its 67th Quarterly Edition alongside the American publication of Robert Macfarlane’s Is a River Alive?. Macfarlane used Field Notes throughout the years he spent writing the book, recording encounters, images, dialogue, and ideas in notebooks carried through the field.
